The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2000

This is a list of adult fiction books that topped The New York Times Fiction Best Seller list in 2000.[1] In July a new list was created for children's books. This controversial decision was due to the dominance of the Harry Potter series, which had occupied three of the top spots for over a year.[2]
