Notes

  1. The Doctor claims that the Great Sphinx of Giza predates the neighbouring Giza pyramid complex by thousands of years, having been built by refugees from Atlantis. However, he may have been bluffing and nothing is confirmed. Atlantis has been seen or mentioned in several TV serials, including The Underwater Menace, The Time Monster and The Dæmons.
  2. After the Sphinx is damaged during the story, Peri causes it to be repaired with the face of Elvis Presley.
  3. This story features an example of actress Nicola Bryant speaking in an English accent as Peri is affected by a form of alien mind control (as opposed to her usual American accent for the character).
gollark: I've probably managed to do the first successful autolosing of items.
gollark: Each individual piece works when I test it then breaks under real-world use, but WHY?
gollark: > tries to implement feature which shouldn't be awfully complicated> wants to rewrite entire project in different programming language
gollark: This is ridiculous: ```local function cost(i) [lua junk here] endlocal function craft(i) [blablabla] cost(i) [blablabla] end -- that cost call errors about calling a nil value```
gollark: No, the problem is that you can't trust the client.
