The Boss Baby 2

The Boss Baby 2 is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated comedy film loosely based on the 2010 picture book of the same name by Marla Frazee, produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. Serving as a sequel to the 2017 film, the film will be directed by Tom McGrath and star the voice of Alec Baldwin as the title character.

Production

Development

On May 25, 2017, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation announced that a sequel was set to be released on March 26, 2021, with Alec Baldwin reprising his role.[1][2][3] On May 17, 2019, it was announced that Tom McGrath will return as director and Jeff Hermann, whose credits include Bilby, Bird Karma, and Marooned, will produce the sequel.[4]

Animation

On May 8, 2020, production was being done remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]

Music

Hans Zimmer and Steve Mazzaro, who previously composed the score for the first film, will return for the sequel.[6]

Release

The Boss Baby 2 is scheduled to be theatrically released by Universal Pictures on March 26, 2021, in the United States.[1]
