Space Training and Readiness Delta Provisional

The Space Training and Readiness Delta Provisional (STAR Delta) is a provisional delta of the United States Space Force and headquartered at Peterson Air Force Base. Space Training and Readiness Delta Provisional is be responsible for the training and education of space professionals, as well as the development of space warfighting doctrine and will serve as the precursor to the Space Training and Readiness Command.[2]

Announced as part of the U.S. Space Force's structure on 30 June 2020, STARCOM will activate in 2021. In the interim period, the Space Training and Readiness Delta was activated on 24 July 2020 to provide oversight of Space Force education, training, and operational test and evaluation units. STARCOM will be led by a major general, while the STAR Delta is led by a colonel.[2][3]
