Chris, known by his online alias u/shittymorph is a notable Reddit user, known for posting well-written comments, only for them to turn ('morph') into and end in the same copypasta, much to the disappointment of readers.[1][2]

Reddit history

shittymorph started his Reddit account on January 3, 2016.[3] His first comment of the format he is now infamous for was an year later in January 2017.

Copypasta

...in nineteen ninety eight when the undertaker threw mankind off hеll in a cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table.

This sentence is a reference to a 1998 pay-per-view pro-wrestling match that pitted feuding wrestlers The Undertaker against Mankind. The two fought on top of a massive cage called Hell in a Cell as more than 17,000 fans in the audience shouted and cheered.[2]

In 2019, Reddit tested a new feature which allowed users to tip others, but this was only made available for shittymorph.[4]

Personal life

According to the CNET interview, Chris was born and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has been homeless for various periods in his life. He has a dog named Scooby, a pit-bull whom authorities rescued from a dog-fighting group in 2015. [2]
