Second Street Bridge (Chester, Pennsylvania)

Second Street Bridge was a historic concrete Bowstring arch bridge located in Chester, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1919, and was a 84-foot-long (26 m), single-span arch bridge. The original patent issued to James B. Marsh in 1911 for the bridge design used included this experimental use of concrete.[2]

The bridge allowed traffic on Pennsylvania Route 291 to cross Chester Creek.[3] The bridge has been demolished.[4]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.[1]
