Scotland in Eurovision Choir

The participation of Scotland in Eurovision Choir began in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the Eurovision Choir 2019 contest.[1] BBC Alba are responsible for the selection process of their participants.[2] Their first conductor was Joy Dunlop.[3] This was the first time Scotland participated in any of the Eurovision Network events, outside of participating as the United Kingdom.

History

The Scottish public broadcaster, BBC Alba, announced that they would be making their Eurovision Choir début at the 2019 edition in Gothenburg, Sweden.[4]

Broadcasts

Commentators

The contests are broadcast online worldwide through the official Eurovision Choir of the Year website eurovisionchoir.tv and YouTube. The Scottish broadcaster, BBC Alba, will send their own commentator to each contest in order to provide commentary in Scottish Gaelic and English.
