Sam Bewley

Samuel Ryan Bewley (born 22 July 1987) is a New Zealand racing cyclist,[3] who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Mitchelton–Scott.[4] Bewley has also competed for UCI ProTeam Team RadioShack,[5] as well as the BikeNZ PureBlack Racing team.[6]

Career

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Bewley won the bronze medal as part of the New Zealand team in team pursuit, together with Hayden Roulston, Marc Ryan, and Jesse Sergent. He attended Glenholme Primary School, Rotorua Intermediate School and Rotorua Boys' High School.[7]

On 8 October 2009, Team RadioShack announced that Bewley would join its new cycling team, that was led by Lance Armstrong and included Levi Leipheimer and Chris Horner.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was part of the New Zealand team that won the bronze in the men's pursuit.[8]
