Roel van Helden

Roel van Helden (born 2 September 1980[1]) is a Dutch musician known mostly for his work as a drummer for German metal band Powerwolf.[2]

Early life

He was born in Lottum, a village in Horst aan de Maas municipality in the Dutch province of Limburg.[3]

When he was 11 his parents bought a drum kit for him and his brother.[3]

He finished Blariacum College in Venlo in 1996 and Conservatorium Tilburg in 2006.

Career

He played in DVPLO, Gramoxone, Marcel Coenen, My Favorite Scar, Subsignal, and Sun Caged. He currently plays in Powerwolf, Delphian, Lites over Fenix and System Pilot.[1]

He joined Powerwolf replacing Tom Diener in 2011.[4]

On 25 October 2012 he released his debut solo album RvH.[5]
