Petru Soltan

Petru Soltan (June 29, 1931 – July 15, 2016) was a Moldovan mathematician. He was a member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova[1] and an honorary member of the Romanian Academy.[2] Petru Soltan was a member of the Mathematical Society of Moldova.[3]

Petru Soltan served as member of the Parliament of Moldova (1990–1994)[4] and is a leader of the Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova.[5]

He died on 15 July 2016 at the age of 86.[6]
