Oleksandr Akymenko

Oleksandr Akymenko (Ukrainian: Олександр Олександрович Акименко; born 5 September 1985 in Antratsyt, Voroshylovohrad Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is a professional Ukrainian football striker.

Native of Antratsyt, Akymenko is a product of the Luhansk College of Physical Culture football section.

Akymenko began his playing career in FC Avanhard Rovenky. Than he joined to FC Stal Alchevsk and made his debut entering as a second-half substitute against FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 18 September 2005 in Ukrainian Premier League.[1]

In 2014 he became to the Ukrainian First League top scorer playing for FC Stal Alchevsk. In 2016 along with FC Zirka Kropyvnytskyi he won the Ukrainian First League and Zirka was promoted to the Ukrainian Premier League. In 2018 as player of FC Inhulets Petrove Akymenko for the second time became the season top scorer.

On 30 September 2018 Akymenko became the fourth footballer who scored 100 goals in the Ukrainian First League in the away win of FC Inhulets Petrove against PFC Sumy (0:1).[2]
