Murexia

Murexia is a genus of mice-sized dasyure, in the marsupial order Dasyuromorphia.[1] They are found in Papua, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Species

The genus was only considered a monotypic genus,[1] but now five species are recognised.[2][3]

  • Murexia longicaudata (short-furred dasyure)[4]
  • Murexia naso (long-nosed dasyure)[5]
  • Murexia melanurus (black-tailed dasyure)[6]
  • Murexia habbema (Habbema dasyure)[7]
  • Murexia rothschildi (broad-striped dasyure)[8]
