Critical reception

Music & Media wrote that the song is "somewhat similar" to their 1989 hit "Keep On Movin'" and noted further that this is "another strong contender from the masters of club music."[1] People said that one of the "winners" on Vol. II: 1990 – A New Decade are "Missing You", "on which Kym Mazelle gets to belt it out".[2] Tom Doyle from Smash Hits described it as an "ace tune" and said it sounds "a bit" like "Keep On Movin'". He added that the song "definitely deserves to be a single".[3]
