Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food (Greece)

The Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food (Greek: Υπουργείο Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης και Τροφίμων) is the government department that oversees agriculture in Greece. The current minister is Makis Voridis of New Democracy.[1]

History

The ministry was created in 2004 by the government of Kostas Karamanlis, replacing the older Ministry of Agriculture.[2]

During the First Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras, the ministry was headed by an Alternate Minister, and in the Second Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras, the Ministry was refounded as the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food.
