Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration

The Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration (Irish: An tAire Leanaí, Míchumas, Comhionannas agus Comhtháthú) is the senior minister at the Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration in the Government of Ireland.

The current Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration is Roderic O'Gorman, TD.

He is assisted by Anne Rabbitte, TD, Minister of State with responsibility for Disability.[1]

Overview

The department was created in 1956 as the Department of the Gaeltacht. Its title and functions have changed several times, the current title was adopted in 2011.[2] An office of Minister of State for Children existed from 1994 to 2011. The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht is currently responsible for Gaeltacht affairs.
