Description

In 1977, the production line began to go upgraded MAZ automobiles MAZ-5335 flatbed MAZ-5335 and MAZ-516B, dump trucks MAZ-5549, tractors MAZ-5429 and MAZ-5430.

Modernized vehicles received new designations in accordance with the force at the moment the industry normal. MAZah on new headlights were moved to the front bumper. It complies with the requirements for placement of lighting equipment on trucks. Was a new radiator grille.

In 1978, production of the new MAZ-5336 commenced. The MAZ-5335 series remained available until 1990.

Modifications

  • MAZ-5335 (1977-1990) - the base model of the family.
    • MAZ-533501 - a version especially developed to handle extreme cold, down to −60 °C (−76 °F). Amongst other changes, it received double glazing and extra insulation on cables and hoses.
  • MAZ-5334 (1977-1990) - the naked chassis version of the MAZ-5335, designed to be fitted with various special purpose bodies.
MAZ-53352
  • MAZ-53352 (1977-1990) - in contrast to the basic model "5335", had a slightly longer wheelbase (5000 mm) and increased to 8400 kg load capacity, as well as equipped with a V8-engine of greater capacity YaMZ-238E. Also, the machine was equipped with a new 8-speed gearbox.
  • MAZ-516B (1977-1990) - triaxial truck with lifting the third axis. Equipped with engine YaMZ-238N (300 hp)
MAZ-5549 dump truck (1977-1990)
  • MAZ-5549 (1977-1990) - dump truck. Successor to the MAZ-503A.
  • MAZ-5429, -5430 (1977-1990) - two-axle tractor, successor to the MAZ-504A. The prototype was called the MAZ-5428
  • MAZ-509A (1978-1990) - timber based on the MAZ-5335.
