List of diplomatic missions of East Timor

This is a list of diplomatic missions of East Timor.[1] As the poorest country in Asia with a limited number of trained personnel, East Timor is only slowly beginning to develop its network of embassies abroad.

Countries with East Timorese diplomatic missions

During the Indonesian occupation of East Timor, the East Timorese political party Fretilin established a Fretilin External Delegation. It functioned in Maputo, Mozambique, and Lisbon, Portugal, and maintained contacts with leftist groups in various countries that opposed the occupation. Additionally, an Ambassador of East Timor was recognised by the government of Angola.[2]
