List of countries by eggplant production

This is a list of countries by eggplant (aubergine) production in 2016 and 2017, based on data from the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database.[1] The estimated total world production for eggplants in 2017 was 52,309,119 metric tonnes, up by 2.2% from 51,192,811 tonnes in 2016.[n 1] China was by far the largest producer of eggplants, accounting for over 62% of global production. Dependent territories are shown in italics.
