List of Nigerian states by population

The following table presents a listing of Nigeria's 36 states (and FCT) ranked in order of their total population based on the 2006 Census figures,[1] as well as their 2016 projected populations, which was published by the National Bureau of Statistics.[2] Lagos' population has been updated to reflect a 2019 estimate.[3]
