The cover of Catapillar is a tribute to the self-titled album by Catapilla, combined with the seal Minazo. "Bozzio" samples Terry Bozzio's drum solo on "Hands with a Hammer" from You Can't Do That on Stage Anymore, Vol. 3 by Frank Zappa. The same drum loop is used on "Shin Kawasaki" from Maschinenstil.

The set is limited to 1,000 copies in a foil-stamped box. Each CD comes in its own full-colored sleeve. Also included is an embroidered patch.
