Kuhrang County

Kuhrang County (Persian: شهرستان کوهرنگ) is a county in Chaharmahal-o-Bakhtiari Province in central Iran. It is located to the west of the nation's capital Tehran, in the northwest of the province. The capital of the county is Chelgerd. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 33,468, in 5,980 families.[1]

The county is subdivided into three districts: Central District, Bazoft District and Doab-Samsami District. The county has three cities: Chelgerd, Bazoft and Samsami. It has many tourism attractions and based on its nature. You can see Kohrang spring, ice cave, Sheikh-Ali khan waterfall, and Dimeh spring in there. The people of this county are Bakhtiari and speak Lorish.

The county is the site three dams and tunnels transferring water from the Kouhrang River to the Zayandeh River: Kouhrang 1, Kouhrang 2, and Kouhrang 3
