Janam TV

Janam TV is an Indian news and entertainment channel broadcasting in Malayalam language. It was launched on 19 April 2015.[2] It has its registered office at Thrissur and the main studios located at Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Channel history

Janam Tv owned by Janam Multimedia Ltd, a company Chaired by noted Malayalam film director Priyadarshan. The company Janam Multimedia Ltd has over 5000 share holders. The channel was launched on 19 April 2015. It is the first news channel started Sanskrit news bulletin in Kerala. Janam TV was inagrauated by Yoga Guru Sree Sree Ravi Shankar and Indian Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore with the presence of Malayalam Superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal.[3][4]

Sanskrit news

Janam TV started broadcasting Sanskrit news on 1 June 2015. It is the only Malayalam channel to telecast Sanskrit news. Malayalam actor Mammootty inaugurated this news bulletin and actor Mohanlal read the first news.[8]
