Career

Tucker joined Gillingham's youth set up as a seven-year old from his hometown club Whitstable Town.[3]

He made his league debut for the club on 8 October 2017 as 45th minute substitute in a 0–1 defeat to Portsmouth.[4] He turned professional with Gillingham in January 2018, at the same time as Henry Woods and Ryan Huckle.[5] Some days later, he joined Greenwich Borough on a work experience loan-deal.[6] He was awarded Gillingham's Young Player of the Year at the conclusion of the 2017–18 season.[7]

On 30 November 2018, Tucker joined Hastings United on loan until January 2019.[8] He then returned to Gillingham at the end of January.[9]

He was offered a new contract by Gillingham at the end of the 2018–19 season.[10] He scored his first goal for Gillingham in an EFL Trophy tie against Tottenham Hotspur U21s on 12 November 2019.[11]

Having broken into the first team under the management of Steve Evans, Tucker was the subject of a written transfer bid in December 2019 from an unnamed Championship club, which was rejected by Gillingham chairman Paul Scally.[12] The same day Tucker signed a new contract with Gillingham.[13] He was named as the Kent side's young Player of the Season at the conclusion of the 2019–20 season.[14]
