Gopala Rao Gari Abbayi is a 1989 Telugu-language drama film, produced by Manne Durga Mallikarjuna Prasad under the Vijaya Durga Cine Creations banner and directed by Manivannan. It stars Rajendra Prasad, Karthik, Ramya Krishna in the lead roles and music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was dubbed into Tamil as Kaadhal Oivathillai. The film was recorded as a flop at the box office. The film's initial title was Janaranjani. The audio cassette / LP Record bears the name Janaranjani[2]

Plot
The film completely revolves around shooting backdrop, Gopal Rao (Rao Gopal Rao) a film director, plans to introduce his son Raghu (Karthik) as a hero and selects a beautiful girl Seeta (Ramya Krishna) from slum as a heroine. Actually, Seeta is brought by her maternal uncle Ranga (Rajendra Prasad) who aspires to marry her but she doesn't have such intention. Parallelly, Ganga (Ashwini), the owner of a liquor shop in their area falls for Ranga, but he always ridicules her. During the shooting period, Raghu loves Seeta and trickily marries in the shooting scene which Gopala Rao denies due to his esteem. Thereafter, Ranga learns regarding Seeta's love affair and tries to marry her forcibly, but seeing the wedding chain (Mangalasutram) on her neck, he recedes. Depressed, Ranga is consoled by Ganga when he too accepts her. Meanwhile, Seeta's vagabond brother Balaji (Balaji) takes a huge amount of advance in the name of Seeta from the producers and spoils it. But knowing regarding Seeta's wedlock he ploys to eliminate Raghu in the shooting by replacing original bombs instead of duplicate in a fight scene. Being cognizant of it, Ranga immediately lands at the spot where he & Seeta protects Raghu keeping their lives at risk. Thereupon, Gopal Rao understands their virtue and accepts Seeta as his daughter-in-law. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the remarriage of Raghu & Seeta.
