George Mayers

The Very Rev. George Samuel Mayers[1] (1860-1952)[2] was an Irish Anglican priest.[3]

He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy in Clonegal. He held incumbencies at Tubrid, Killaloan[4] and Dungarvan. He was Canon and Treasurer of Waterford Cathedral from 1901. Dean of Lismore [5] from 1913 until[6] 1919[7] and Dean of Waterford from 1919.
