Edinburgh Rugby Stadium

Edinburgh Rugby Stadium is a rugby stadium currently under construction in Edinburgh, Scotland. Once built, it will be the home of Edinburgh Rugby.[1] It will have seating capacity of 7,800 when completed.[2][3]

Location

The stadium is located next to Murrayfield Stadium, in the Murrayfield area of the city.[4]

Structure and facilities

The stadium will be an all-seater stadium which will consist of four stands.

  • North Stand: 2,047 (Main stand)
  • East Stand: 1,480
  • South Stand: 2,704
  • West Stand: 1,564

There will be disabled seating in all areas of the ground with a dedicated disabled terrace in the North Stand.[2]

Buses

The stadium is served by Lothian Buses.[5]

Rail

Despite the line running adjacent to the stadium, the closest railway station to the stadium is Haymarket, which lies a mile to the East.

Interchange with Edinburgh Trams is available at Haymarket and Edinburgh Park stations. Edinburgh Waverley is a short walk from the St Andrew Square tram stop.

Tram

Murrayfield Stadium tram stop is located adjacent to Murrayfield Stadium entrance turnstiles on Roseburn Street.
