ESSAR Steel India Limited is a fully integrated steel producer and steel mill in Hazira[1][2], in the Surat district of Gujarat state, in southwestern India.[3]

The company is a division of Essar Steel based in Mumbai, part of the diversified Essar Group holdings. [4]

Products

The ESSAR Steel India Limited facilities have an annual production capacity of 10 MTPA (10 million tonnes/year).[5]

  • The primary manufacturing facility of ESSAR Steel India Limited comprises ore beneficiation, pellet making, iron making, and steel making.[6]
  • Downstream facilities include: a cold rolling mill, galvanising, a pre-coated facility, a steel processing facility, the extra wide Essar Plate Mill,[7] and a pipe mill.[8]
