Critical reception

AllMusic editor Andrew Hamilton noted the "choppy rhythms" of the song in his review of World Power.[1] Billboard described it as a "African-infused house jam".[2] Music & Media wrote that Turbo B "raps like he's shouting orders over a monotone techno beat, spiced up with oriental and African samples."[3] Newcastle Evening Chronicle picked the song as one of the best songs of the album.[4]

Music video

A tribal music video was released to promote the song. It sees the band members belly dancing and charming a snake. The video was directed by Liam Kan.[5] Kan also directed the music video for the group's previous single, "Ooops Up".
