Cotton Ivy
Lamarse Howard "Cotton" Ivy,[1] is a humorist, comedian and entertainer born in Decatur County, Tennessee on May 15, 1930. Ivy served as a Democrat on the Tennessee House of Representatives in Decaturville, Tennessee from 1985 to 1989.[2][3] From 1989 to 1995, he served as Tennessee's Commissioner of Agriculture.[2] The Department of Agriculture's L.H. "Cotton" Ivy Laboratory is named after him.[4][5]
