Charisma University

Charisma University (CU) is an academic institution established in 2011 located in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), British Overseas Territories of the United Kingdom. Charisma University is a non-profit institution [1] and recognized by Turks and Caicos Islands Ministry of Education [2] to offer accredited undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate degree programs and certificate programs in various disciplines taught by over 100 faculty members.

Charisma University is an institutional member of the American Council on Education (ACE) [3] and has a historic commitment to adult learners. The university is committed to providing online and on-campus education that is flexible, on-demand, and innovative. Charisma's degrees are structured to allow students the flexibility to schedule their course work around their other responsibilities.

The Center for Advanced Research and Innovation (CARI) [4] was established as an independent organization under the auspices of the Charisma University. The Center provides facilities for higher research in various areas of Humanities, Social Science and Technology disciplines. CARI is also aimed at establishing and promoting exchange programs with academic, research, training institutes and think tank organizations at home and abroad.

Accreditation

Charisma University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).[5] ACBSP accredits business, accounting, and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctorate degree levels worldwide. The university is also committed to providing online and on-campus education that is flexible, on-demand, innovative, and utilize sound education technologies and techniques. ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).[6] Charisma University is the first private university and one of the only two universities in the Caribbean region to hold this ACBSP accreditation.[7]

The Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN) announced to Charisma University that the ACQUIN Accreditation Commission awarded a system accreditation to Charisma University without conditions.[8] The German Accreditation Council [9] recognizes ACQUIN. According to this Council, system accreditation is the internal quality assurance system of a university.

Charisma University is listed in International Association of Universities of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).[10] IAU-026987 [11]

The University currently offers over forty-degree programs and three graduate certificates in its six schools:

Universities Rankings

The Knowledge Review Magazine selected Charisma University as one of the 10 Best Universities of Caribbean Islands in 2019.[12]
