Chalkusha

Chalkusha (also spelled Chalkusa) is a village in Chalkusha CD block in Barhi subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Demographics

As per the 2011 Census of India Chalkusa had a total population of 4,150, of which 2,194 (53%) were males and 1,956 (47%) were females. Population below 6 years was 795. The total number of literates in Chalkusa was 2,285 (68.11% of the population over 6 years).[2]

Transport

A road links Chalkusha to the Markacho-Chaube road. There is a bridge across the Barakar River. There is a road from Chaube to Keshwari, where it connects to the Suriya-Parasiya road.[3]
