Blyttia (plant)

Blyttia is a small genus of perennial vines in the dogbane family first described as a genus in 1838. It is found in the Arabian Peninsula,[1] Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Djibouti, Senegal, Ethiopia, Kenya, Israel, Tanzania, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Mali, and Chad.[2]

The genus was first described by George Arnott Walker-Arnott in 1838, and the type species is Blyttia arabica.[3]
