Birdy discography

English musician Birdy has released three studio albums, four extended plays, seven singles, six music videos and three instrumental albums in MP3 format. She began her career at the age of twelve when she won the Open Mic UK music competition, singing "So Be Free", a song she composed herself.[1][2] The competition brought Birdy to the attention of 14th Floor Records, which signed her in 2008.[3]

Birdy released her self-titled début studio album in November 2011. Produced by Rich Costey and Jim Abbiss, it consists of cover versions and original songs.[4] The album reached number one on the Australian, Belgian and Dutch album charts.[5][6][7] It was certified triple platinum by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP), platinum by the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA) and gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).[8][9][10] Four singles were released from the album: "Skinny Love", "Shelter", "People Help the People" and "1901", with "Skinny Love" peaking at number one in the Netherlands and number two in Australia.[5][7]

Fire Within, Birdy's second studio album, was released in September 2013. It peaked at number five in Australia and number eight in the UK.[5][11] Four singles, "Wings", "No Angel", "Light Me Up" and "Words As Weapons" were released from the album.

Beautiful Lies, her third album, was released in March 2016 and reached the top five in Hungary, Ireland, and the UK. It was preceded by the singles "Keeping Your Head Up" and "Wild Horses", taken from the album.

In June 2016, Birdy released three entirely instrumental albums in the MP3 format. The albums were entitled "Ornithology," "Vogelfrei" and "Nightbird" and featured her on piano. They were available commercially at outlets like Amazon.com and Google Play.[12][13][14]
