Area code 207
Area code 207 is the North American telephone area code for the state of Maine, excluding Estcourt Station which uses Quebec province's overlay of 418, 581 and 367.

Area code 207 was created as one of the original area codes in 1947. The numbering plan area retains its original boundaries, having never been split or overlaid.
As of April 2020, area code 207 is not expected to be exhausted until the first quarter of 2025.[1] The deadline has been extended several times due to technical changes and number pooling.[2]
