The first twenty verses discuss the wonders of the worldly creation (the earth, plants, the peace of night, the mountains and rain); Q78:1-5 Unbelievers shall yet learn the truth of the resurrection; 78:6-16 God the Creator and Preserver of all things. [Q78:17-20] describes Judgment-day scenes.[3]

The latter twenty verses are about the eternal wonders and horrors of the next world with the raging sinner (the Arabic root TGY "tageena" is used) being punished starkly opposed with the rewarding of dutiful believers (the Arabic root WQY "mutaqeena" is employed as a poetic parataxis to TGY) in paradise.[4]
