Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a low-cost airline based in Abu Dhabi. The airline is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Etihad Airways.[1]

History

In October 2019, it was announced Air Arabia and Etihad Aviation Group were to launch a joint venture. Etihad Aviation Group stated that the new airline would complement the operations of Etihad Airways, and serve a growing low-cost market.[2]

Initially, the airline had planned to operate to 11 destinations under the Etihad flight code (EY) and were to be launched starting March 2020, however these plans were later cancelled.[3]
