Ahmed al-Asaad

Ahmad al-Asaad or Ahmad al-As'ad (Arabic: أحمد الأسعد) (1902 – 16 March 1961)[1] was Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament from 5 June 1951, till 30 May 1953.[2][3] He was still alive at the time of the 1958 civil war. His son Kamel Asaad, was speaker for three terms. al-Asaad family is originally from Tayibe, Marjeyoun District.
