2020 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries

The 2020 FIBA European Championship for small countries was to be the 17th edition of this tournament. It was to be hosted in Limerick, Ireland.[1] It was initially postponed and subsequently cancelled due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.[2][3]

Teams

Moldova and Norway did not join this edition. They were replaced by Armenia, winner in 2016 which was about to come back to competition after its withdrawal from the EuroBasket 2021 pre-qualifieres, and Azerbaijan, winner in 2006 and 2008, which was set for a comeback to competition since its participation in the FIBA EuroBasket 2013 qualification.
