The 2001 ANZ Tasmanian International was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the Hobart International Tennis Centre in Hobart, [Australia and was part of Tier V of the 2001 WTA Tour. It was the eighth edition of the tournament and ran from 7 January until 13 January 2001. Unseeded Rita Grande won the singles title and earned $16,000 first-prize money.

gollark: Plus, every time I work on a JS project and leave it for 6 months npm gives me a ton of "dependency security issue" warnings.
gollark: In one event on here I lost an *hour* of time tracking down a bug which would be stopped if it errored on out of bounds array access instead of just doing `undefined`.
gollark: And I'm also moderately competent at JS but æææ the typing.
gollark: I *used* Go. It's bad.
gollark: Rust has nice modern features and such but I just find it slow to write with.
