1928 Pittsburgh Panthers football team

The 1928 Pittsburgh Panthers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Pittsburgh as an independent during the 1928 college football season. In its fifth season under head coach Jock Sutherland, the team compiled a 6–2–1 record, shut out seven of its nine opponents, and outscored all opponents by a total of 177 to 15.[1][2] The team played its eight home games at Pitt Stadium in Pittsburgh.
