Recorded at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, the album is notable for being the recorded debut of Pryor's memorable Mudbone, rural Tupeloan become Peoria tale-spinner and lie and storyteller and anecdotist; and for the disk center label credit of the "Just Us" track to Pryor's friend, writer and collaborator Paul Mooney. Recorded by Wally Heider Recording, engineers Biff Dawes and Charles Carver.
