Álfheiður Ingadóttir

Álfheiður Ingadóttir (born 1 May 1951) is an Icelandic politician who was a was a member of the Althing, the Icelandic parliament 2007-2013 for the Left-Green Movement.

Political Career

She was elected as a Member of Althingi for the Reykjavík South Constituency from 2007 to 2009 and for the Reykjavík North Constituency from 2009 to 2013.

Álfheiður served as Minister of Health from 2009 to 2010.[1]

She was Deputy Speaker of the Althing in 2009 and 2010 to 2012.[1]

She was Chairman of the Left-Green Movement's parliamentary group between 2012 and 2013 having previously been Vice-Chairman between 2009 to 2010 and 2011 to 2012.[1]
