By boat
  • Penafrancia shipping lines has daily ferry service to and from Tabaco Albay from the Virac town center port.
  • One-way fares are from ₱240 non-AC, ₱290 A/C. The trip takes 3½ hours.
  • From Tabaco you can get a bus to Manila. Or a van to Legazpi City, ₱40 or Naga, ₱180.
  • There is also a fast ferry from San Andres port (17 km from Virac) to Tabaco which takes 1 hour and costs ₱330 for AC class.

By plane
  • Virac Airport (VRC  IATA) (is 2 km from the center). There is a daily flight to and from Manila with Cebu Pacific.
