Los Altos Hills is a difficult hard place to enter, much harder than any other 'cities' in the surrounding area. To enter from the north, south or the east, use Los Altos and Interstate 280. To enter from the west, only a few roads are useful. Arastradero Road, and Page Mill Road are the only roads that enter the from the west.

Get around

Los Altos Hills has no major roads, and the entire town is residential. There is no method of transit. No busses, or other method such as trains or light rails run through Los Altos Hills. Nor is there a need to, for most roads are not actually wide enough to fit a VTA bus. If you need transit via VTA, then Los Altos has several bus stops that are ideally located for transit to neighboring areas.

See

Los Altos Hills has beautiful mountains ranges to the west. Hiking, biking, and horse back riding is prevalent in the Rancho Open Space Preserve. Biking is also very common due to the vast quantity of hills. Los Altos Hills gives a challenge to any biker due to the steep grades.

Do

Along with the hiking, and the biking associated with Rancho OSP, another popular activity is geocaching. Due to the vigorous hills, geocaching in both the town of Los Altos Hills and OSP is an excellent method of both sight-seeing and physical activity. If you are set about staying inside the town, then take a tour of Town Hall at 26379 Fremont Rd.
