La Grange is a city in the Kentucky Derby Region. It is located just 22 miles from Louisville.

Until recently, La Grange was what locals call "moist"—packaged alcohol sales were prohibited, but larger restaurants (seating at least 100) were (and still are) allowed to sell alcohol by the drink. Since July 2012, the city has been "wet" (although full package sales didn't begin until roughly the end of 2012 because of state-mandated waiting periods).
