Boppard

Boppard is in the Middle Rhine Valley.

Understand

A know settlement from Celtic times and was an important strategic site for the Romans. Is now a major tourist town in the Rhine valley.

Less than 10 km from the A60 along a twisting steep road or along the B9 following the left bank of the Rhine.

Boppard station is on the West Rhine Railway (Linke Rheinstrecke) line between Mainz and Cologne.

The Köln-Düsseldorfer Rheinschiffahrt, known as KD, runs scheduled services up and down the river between Cologne and Mainz.

Cruise companies such as Viking stop in the town.
