Zsolt Nagy (politician)

Zsolt Nagy (born June 21, 1971 in Târgu Mureș) is a Romanian politician of Hungarian ethnicity. Since December 2004, he is the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, but he was suspended on June 11, 2007 due to an investigation regarding some strategic privatisations. He is also a member of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, which is part of the governing coalition. He speaks Romanian, Hungarian and English fluently.

He is an alumnus of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

On January 24, 2014, he was convicted for approving the assignment of real estate owned by the Romanian Post to a private company at a price that was €3.6 million lower than the market price, being sentenced to 4 years, suspended sentence.[1] In January 2015 he was sentenced to 4 years of prison .[2]
