Zhashkiv
Zhashkiv (Ukrainian: Жашків [ˈʒɑʃkiu̯]) is a city in Cherkasy Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Zhashkiv Raion.

History
A local newspaper is published here since September 1931.[2]
City since 1956[3].
In 1989 the population of the city was 16 484 people[4][3]
In 2013 the population of the city was 14 234 people[5]
The parents of Moshe Dayan were originally from Zhashkiv.
