Taxonomy
The holotype for the species was collected near the Cape Otway Lighthouse by Dr. Nicholas Porch. The species-specific name is a patronym in his honor.[1]
Description
The length of the spider is 2.77 mm.[1]
Distribution and habitat
It is found only in the Otway Range, north of Cape Otway. The only known specimen was caught in a eucalypt forest with a dense bracken fern understory.[1]
Conservation
The abundance of protected forests near the type locality suggest that the spider is unlikely of meriting conservation concern.[1]
gollark: My base is just on a giant pillar in the sky anyway, so blow that up and no access for you.
gollark: Well, unless you dig LOTS and the shield generators fail.
gollark: It'd just be an early-game hassle.
gollark: It's not very interesting, though, you can stop them with a single shield.
gollark: Then MAKE them learn about mods by sending waves of mobs to attack their base which can only be fought off with the power of M O D S!
