Wojciech Dziembowski

Wojciech Andrzej Dziembowski (born 14 January 1940 in Warsaw) – is a Polish astronomer, member of Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Learning

Biography

Studied at the Jagiellonian University. In 1967 defended his PhD thesis on the University of Warsaw. Professor's degree received in 1983. Since 1989 correspondent member of Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), since 2007 full member.

1967-1969 fellowship at the Columbia University in New York. In 1969 he began working for the CAMK of PAN in Warsaw, Poland, where from 1987-1992 he served as director.[1] In 1997 he also became a professor of the Astronomical Observatory at the University of Warsaw.[2][3]
